What is a Mountain Senses ritual?

It's simply a little invitation to slow down. Light your candle, take in the fragrance, hold your natural stone, or spend a moment enjoying your mountain landscape print.

Whether it's a quiet morning, a peaceful evening, or just a few minutes to yourself, there's no right or wrong way to make the moment yours.

No elaborate routine required. Just a little time to enjoy the little things.
What makes a Ritual Box different from an ordinary candle?

It's a little more than a candle. Each Ritual Box brings together the scent of a nature-inspired fragrance, the sight of original mountain photography, the feel of a natural stone, and the gentle sound of a crackling wooden wick.

Each detail is an invitation to engage your senses, slow down, and notice the little things. It's our way of bringing some of the feeling of the mountains into everyday life—even when you can't escape to them.
Who is Mountain Senses for?

Are the mountain photographs really yours?

They really are! The landscape prints included in our Ritual Boxes feature original mountain photographs taken during real adventures outdoors.

Each photograph captures a place and moment worth remembering, and we love getting to share a little of that feeling with you.
Can I give the pieces a second life?

Absolutely! Your wooden stand can display other favorite photographs, your natural stone can become a little keepsake, and your magnetic gift box is perfect for storing letters, photos, or other meaningful treasures.

We love the idea that these pieces can continue to be enjoyed long after the candle has finished burning.

What comes in a Ritual Box?

Each seasonal Ritual Box includes an 8 oz wooden-wick candle, a natural stone, a USA-made cement match holder with wooden matches, an original mountain landscape print, a wooden display stand, and a seasonal ritual card. Everything is thoughtfully arranged in our signature black magnetic gift box.

Because our cement match holders are individually made, slight variations in color, texture, and markings are natural and part of what makes each one unique.
How do I choose which season is right for me?

Each season has its own personality!

  • High Meadow — Spring: Fresh, airy, and refreshing, with water lotus, sea salt, and hinoki cypress.
  • Sunstone Canyon — Summer: Earthy and grounding, with black sand, sage, and palo santo.
  • Sienna Valley — Autumn: Warm and comforting, with golden clay and amber.
  • Glacier Peak — Winter: Soft and peaceful, with white tea, ginger, and sandalwood.

Is my Ritual Box ready to give as a gift?

Absolutely! Each Ritual Box arrives in our signature gift packaging, complete with printed tissue paper and a little “Begin Here” envelope. No additional gift wrapping is needed.
Can I purchase the candles separately?

Yes! Our Ritual Refills let you enjoy your favorite seasonal fragrance without purchasing another complete gift box. We also offer the Four Seasons Candle Collection, featuring one candle from each season.
Will my stone look exactly like the photographs?

Not necessarily, and that's part of what makes each one special! The stones are naturally formed, measure approximately 1–4 inches, and vary in color, pattern, and shape. Each season features two carefully selected stone varieties, and your Ritual Box will include one of these seasonal stones depending on availability.

Because every stone is unique, the one you receive will look a little different from those pictured.
How do I care for my candle?

Each Mountain Senses candle is hand-poured in the USA using a coconut wax blend and finished with a wooden wick for a soft, gentle crackle.

We chose a coconut wax blend for its smooth, creamy appearance, beautiful fragrance performance, and ability to provide a slow, even burn. It's one of the little details that makes our candles feel special. Each 8 oz candle offers approximately 50 hours of burn time.

For the best experience, trim the wooden wick before each lighting and place your candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface. On the first burn, allow the wax to melt naturally—there's no need to keep the candle burning longer just to force the wax to reach the edges.

Never leave a burning candle unattended, and always allow it to cool before relighting. To keep your candle looking its best, store it away from direct sunlight and excessive heat.
When will my order ship?

Orders are typically prepared within two business days. We currently ship within the contiguous United States.

Standard shipping is $8.95, Express shipping is $19.95, and Standard shipping is free on orders of $100 or more. Express orders receive priority processing. Estimated delivery dates are shown at checkout.

Once your order ships, we'll provide tracking information when available so you can follow its journey.
What if I need to return something or my order arrives damaged?

Returns: We accept returns within 14 days of delivery for unused, unburned items in their original condition and packaging. Gift sets must be returned complete. Customers are responsible for return shipping, and original shipping charges are nonrefundable.

Damaged orders: If something arrives damaged or defective, please contact us within seven days of delivery. Include your order number and photos of the item and packaging. We'll replace the affected item at no additional cost.
